Which forwards could Swindon Town target in transfer window?
Swindon Town’s early transfer business has been conspicuous by its lack of attacking talent, it could be the key for promotion.
This summer has been flush with early signings at the Nigel Eady County Ground, five at the time of writing, and that has meant a whole edition of this series has been gazumped. The additions of Tom Nichols, Darren Oldaker, James Ball, and Joe Snowdon mean that any need for a new midfielder is eradicated.
Instead, we will skip straight to the exciting part: forwards. And Swindon remain in need of plenty with the current state of the squad. Of the players considered an active part of Ian Holloway’s desired 24-man group, only Botan Ameen, Paul Glatzel, Danny Butterworth, and Harry Smith are attacking players. Aaron Drinan is still expected to return, but two wingers and a striker remain on the agenda.
