Swindon Town stadium vote must become motivation for club
The vote on the Nigel Eady County Ground redevelopment is in, and it says much more about the Swindon Town fan base than just the desire for a stand.
In the end, 955 of the 1,263 members voted. 478 of them voted for it; 477 of them voted against it. The Adver is aware that 150 people opened the email, but never voted. This was a hard decision, one for which there might not have been a right answer, but the result was an almost perfect split.
This was a vote about the redevelopment of the Don Rogers Stand. But the result almost acts as a referendum on the confidence of the fan base in the current ownership.
