Sensible thinking puts Swindon Town in position to compete
Swindon Town have had a strong summer in the transfer market, putting them in a position to compete in League Two next season.
Among many of the important things Ian Holloway has changed at Swindon after becoming manager, it has been breaking some long-standing bad habits that could be the most crucial. Since Ben Chorley came in and built a promotion-quality squad in two weeks with a transfer embargo in 2021, it would be very difficult to argue that the playing staff improved during any of the six transfer windows until January 2025.
Connor Ripley, Tom Nichols, and Joe Westley ended a run of moving backwards by doing the sensible thing. None of those three made a late run for Player of the Season, but between them, they helped to fix........
