Bad news often seems to dominate the headlines. A focus on threats and what could harm us is a natural part of our psychology, and it helps us to stay safe.

Nonetheless, we should remember that the world is not all bad news. We have much to celebrate and look forward to, if only we look for it.

As MP for Caerphilly, I was elected to help identify and address some of our local, regional, and national problems. But another key part of my role, as I see it, is to look for what makes Caerphilly great, and to celebrate and nurture that.
