A Coronation Street favourite has revealed her return to the famous cobbles.

Sair Khan, who plays Alya Nazir in the ITV soap, has announced her return to work following the birth of her first child.

The 36-year-old actress took to her Instagram Story to share a picture of her script as she prepares to return to the cobbles for the first time since having her baby boy in April.

She captioned the post: "I am Backstreet."
