Woke up this morning to tragic news that is becoming all too familiar. Actress Hayden Panettiere is dead at age 36.

Panettiere, by what anyone could see, had all the gifts. A beautiful and popular actress who was also known as a talented singer. She played the titular character in the early 2000s rom-com "I Love You Beth Cooper", along with a role in TV shows "Heroes" and "Nashville." She consistently won Teen Choice and People's Choice awards and dabbled in activism and politics. She dated many actors and superstars and eventually gave birth to a daughter shared with boxing star Wladimir Klitschko in 2014. This seemed to be a turning point for her, with her eventually sharing with the world her struggles with postpartum depression, commenting on "Kelly and Michael" that her experience was "scary" and that postpartum mood issues deserved more attention. Sadly, Hayden eventually gave up full custody of her daughter to Klitschko in 2018, secondary to depression and addiction.
