Is Your Relationship With Dating Apps Unhealthy?
Imagine yourself waiting in a queue at a coffee shop. You could chat with the friend next to you while you wait to place your order. Or you could both pull out your phones, check for messages on a dating app, and begin swiping. Online dating apps can feel addictive: Swiping is fun, only positive feedback is received (likes or matches), and the apps can be used anywhere at any time.
But when does your use of dating apps become problematic?
Smartphones have become an integral part of our day-to-day lives. On your daily commute, you might use your phone to download a train ticket, buy a coffee, and chat with a friend. Having constant access to the internet can be useful and provide many benefits; however, there are also some problems.
