Therapy is a team effort.

Listen with your eyes, ears, and feelings.

Don't jump to conclusions.

I have been on journeys with thousands of individuals for four decades. Yep; it's been four decades and it's been quite a ride. Honestly, it has been an honor to be in my consulting room with individuals sharing their very personal histories and current struggles. I have always hoped that I am doing my very best guiding my patients. In the process, I have learned several life lessons that I would like to share as I continue my life's work. My hope is that this list will inform both therapists and patients alike. I will start with ten of the most valuable lessons that inform my work. There will be a part 2 in the future.
