THE Iranian Parliament echoed with gratitude towards Pakistan for standing with brotherly Iran against Israeli aggression—an honour for both nations.
Undoubtedly, Pakistan stands firm with Iran in every difficult time and on every front. Pakistan’s courageous stance in favour of Iran at the Security Council was acknowledged by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who praised Pakistan’s role and voice against Zionist terrorism. Following the defeat of Modi’s Hindutva in the recent India-Pakistan war, Pakistan’s international standing has risen. Both brotherly Islamic nations are like one body and one soul, united on issues like Palestine and Kashmir. Iran extended full support to Pakistan during the 1965 war. This enduring spirit of brotherhood has shaped over seven decades of diplomatic, trade and public relations. The depth of ties is evident from history: in 1947, Iran was the first country to recognize Pakistan; in 1979, Pakistan became the first to recognize Iran’s revolutionary government under Ayatollah Khomeini. These pivotal moments laid the foundation for a strong, durable and indissoluble relationship that even adversaries have failed to break. The unwavering unity between Pakistan and Iran continues to resist aggression, reflect solidarity on global platforms and stand as a testament to shared values, trust and Islamic brotherhood.
