Marka-e-Haq: When professionalism silenced drums of war
ONE year ago, conflict loomed over the subcontinent when India, driven by its superiority complex, launched a reckless cross-border military venture in the summer of 2025.
What followed was a comprehensive demonstration of strategic restraint and operational brilliance by Pakistan’s defence forces. Codenamed “Marka-e-Haq”, the Battle of Truth, that week of confrontation rewrote the rules of modern limited warfare, dismantled a dangerous propaganda machine across the border and placed Pakistan on the high table of responsible global actors.
The genius of Marka-e-Haq lay in seamless battlefield integration perfected over the years. When Indian forward elements attempted a multi-pronged intrusion, they walked into a layered defensive net where real-time intelligence, ground formations and aerial might acted as one organism. The newly centralized air defence mechanism, merging the Pakistan Air Force’s high-altitude guardians with the Army’s short-range shields, reacted with machine-like precision. Enemy attack helicopters and fighter jets that strayed into our airspace were met by an impenetrable wall of missiles before they could fire. This vindicated a doctrine treating Pakistan’s skies as a no-fly zone for arrogance.
