5 changes at Riverside Retail Park since it opened 25 years ago

The area is a city hub with a mixture of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues.

It was previously an industrial site, home to the engineering firm Boulton & Paul, and was largely derelict after the company closed in the late 1980s.

The first phase of the redevelopment opened in 1999 and was largely completed in 2003.

Over the years, the site has seen many businesses come and go.

Here are five of the biggest changes at Riverside in the last 25 years.

One of the big changes in the area was the decision to close the popular nightclub Lava Ignite due to safety concerns around the structure of the building.

The building shut in 2007 and would eventually reopen under the name of Wonderland, which offered hugely popular indie nights for the younger crowd before it closed in 2014 .
