The Gateshead Group, an independent social care company, applied to change the use of a property in Bek Close, Eaton, in November.

People living nearby were not pleased with the proposal saying they are worried that having children under constant care living nearby could lead to disturbances which could cause undue stress.

However Norwich City Council approved the conversion, which will see the three-bed, semi-detached, bungalow cater for two children under the care of staff 24/7.
