But Norfolk County Council thinks it is time to freshen up the monikers of its fleet, and is asking readers of this newspaper to come up with new names for the vehicles.

They want our help to come up with new names for five of County Hall's 58-strong fleet of gritters.

The names could be puns, pop culture references or something else entirely - but we've perhaps all moved on from Gritty McGritface, before anyone suggests that.
