Council tax rises 'unsustainable' say leaders, as they propose 4.99pc Norfolk hike

Andrew Jamieson, Norfolk County Council's deputy leader and cabinet member for finance, accused the Labour government of forcing councils to impose bill increases.

He said the government was taking money away from rural councils to be redistributed to urban areas, while not taking account of increasing demands for adult social care in Norfolk.
