Awkward for Adrian... Landlord MP's party votes to abolish LANDLORDS
A motion titled 'abolish landlords' was passed at the Green's autumn conference in Bournemouth, which outlines five steps the party would take to phase out landlords.
The motion calls for the party "to seek the effective abolition of private landlordism" and backs the construction of more council homes.
That would be through measures such as rent controls, abolishing Right to Buy - where council tenants can purchase rented homes from councils, ending buy-to-let-mortgages and levying a land tax on landlords.
And Waveney Valley MP Adrian Ramsay could feel the sharp end of this party's new policy - because he co-owns a home which he rents out.
According to Mr Ramsay's register of interests he co-owns a house in Norfolk worth at least £100,000 which is rented out for more than........
