New Delhi: His double century in the second Test against England in Birmingham is Shubman Gill’s most cherished moment of the England tour, the India Test skipper said after being named ICC’s player of the month for July.

Gill scored a series high 754 runs in five matches in England that India drew 2-2. It is Gill’s fourth player of the month award after January 2023, September 2023 and February 2025.

Gill scored four hundreds in the tour, to lead from the front on his debut tour as the Test skipper to become the first male player to win the player of the month award four times.
