Mumbai: In the sacred Hindu calendar, the month of Sawan is devoted to Lord Shiva. However, Ekadashi—the 11th lunar day of each fortnight—is especially sacred to Lord Vishnu. When these two divine forces converge, as they do during Sawan’s Shukla Paksha Ekadashi, devotees believe they receive twice the spiritual rewards. Known as Putrada Ekadashi, this day is particularly significant for couples wishing to conceive a child, as per Hindu belief.
