It appears, in this early snapshot in time, the Alberta separatists are spinning their wheels.

They are not gaining ground. In fact, they may be heading in reverse.

In the Postmedia-Leger poll, it is 68 per cent to 24 per cent in favour of remaining in Canada rather than going down the road to a Yes or No vote on Alberta independence.

In case you needed more convincing something is happening here, a poll by Ipsos is even uglier. It is 72 per cent to 19 per cent for Alberta remaining in Canada.
