Perrie Edwards Fires Back At Jesy Nelson's Claims Little Mix Didn't Support Her

The Forget About Us singer urged her former bandmate to "take some accountability for your actions and realise you were difficult".

Perrie Edwards has responded to her former Little Mix bandmate Jesy Nelson’s recent comments about the end of her time in the group.

The two singers were both part of the chart-topping four-piece for the better part of a decade, after being put together on the eighth season of The X Factor in 2011, having all first auditioned as solo acts.

Jesy eventually made the decision to quit Little Mix in late 2020, citing mental health reasons as her motivation for leaving, with the rest of the band continuing as a trio before eventually going on an indefinite hiatus in 2022.

While Jesy’s departure was initially said to be an amicable one, this seemed decreasingly to be the case as time went on.

Earlier this year, the Bad Thing singer disclosed that she had tried to take her own life shortly before leaving the band, alleging that she had “sat everyone down to explain how I was feeling” shortly beforehand.

“I remember one of [their] responses being, ‘Are you done now? Is that it?’,” Jesy recalled. “She was like, ‘Can I go now?’”

She added that in the moment, she felt “really alone”, “like there was no point” and that “no one cared” about her.
