Matthew Lau: Yes, CBC, you really are biased

Its leaders claim the broadcaster doesn't play ideological favourites. But on key issues like gender and Gaza the numbers say otherwise

CBC News is not biased. I know this because I’ve just read a CBC News story about CBC President Marie-Philippe Bouchard denying that CBC’s news coverage is biased. On the other hand, if CBC’s broadcasting were biased, we could hardly expect the CBC president to say so. And others — based on empirical analyses of CBC’s news coverage — have found the bias the CBC president says isn’t there.
