Opinion: Albertans need action to make emergency departments safe from violence

The violence that occurred on April 3, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH) in Edmonton generated headlines across the country. A 42-year-old patient sustained life-threatening injuries after being stabbed by another patient inside the hospital’s emergency department (ED) waiting room.
