The Lovewell Blake Community Fund is offering up to £2,000 per organisation from a total pot of £27,000. Organisations in Norfolk and Suffolk are eligible to apply.

The fund is aimed at supporting small community groups, particularly those with annual incomes under £50,000 and a strong base of volunteers.

Tracy Cox, chair of Lovewell Blake’s fundraising committee and grants panel, said: "We are delighted to open the latest grants round from our community fund."

She encouraged applications from local groups, especially those operating at a grassroots level.

The fund, set up in 2008 to mark Lovewell Blake’s 150th anniversary, has distributed more than £420,000 to date.

In the last grants round, £30,000 was shared by 25 organisations.

A recent recipient was Ketteringham Hall Cricket Club, which used its £2,000 grant to buy a new bowling machine.

Applications for this round close on Monday, April 13.

More information and application forms are available at norfolkfoundation.com for Norfolk groups and suffolkcf.org.uk for Suffolk groups.
