Illegal waste burning and dumping at rural site sparks probe
The plot of land in New Road, Belton, has become the focus of a probe by the Environment Agency and Great Yarmouth Borough Council (GYBC) following complaints raised in 2024.
A landowner, a suspected operator and a company identified as taking waste onto the land have all been issued 'cease and desist' letters.

Locals have reported seeing black smoke periodically over the past two years, coming from large fires which are set in the evenings.
Images obtained by this newspaper show waste being dumped on the land and a large amount of material on fire.
