Martin McConnell was killed after flying off his Suzuki motorcycle at Tibenham Airfield in July 2023 while taking part in a speed trial challenge event. He was 58.

An inquest into his death has heard that the event, organised by Terminal Velocity Events Ltd, gave participants the chance to attempt to hit as high speeds as possible over a half-mile distance on the airfield's runway.
