Speed event where military veteran died in crash had no formal emergency plan
Martin McConnell died at Tibenham Airfield in July 2023 after crashing off the runway on his motorcycle, while trying to break the site's 204mph land speed record.
The 58-year-old was participating in an event organised by Terminal Velocity Events Ltd, where participants attempted to reach the highest possible speeds over a distance of half a mile.
During the third day of an inquest into his death, company director Matthew Flynn admitted that the event had no written plan for the event of an emergency.........
