Town 'getting tidier', say litter pickers... but fly-tipping still a problem
Members of the town's Civic Society make the rounds of the town every week, helping to clear away trash.
And while they say that overall the town centre is looking tidier, fly-tipping is still a problem.
Hugh Sturzaker, chairman of the Civic Society, said: "Generally the worst problems are cigarette butts and bird droppings, but nearly every week we find mattresses and furniture left in a Row.
