Tractors trundle to churches to celebrate farming heritage on Plough Sunday
Historically, Plough Sunday was a major event across East Anglia, with prayers said for those who work in agriculture and blessings given to the tractors and tools which would provide the region’s food in the year ahead.
Traditionally, a plough would be drawn through the streets while parishioners gathered for a day of singing, dancing and drinking on the first Sunday after the Christian festival of Epiphany.
