Former England rugby star joins fellow Norfolk farmers in tax campaign
The farming industry's national "Day of Unity" saw tractors parked outside food shops in market towns including Cromer, North Walsham, Fakenham and Wymondham.
The aim was to raise awareness of the impact of the government's decision to scrap inheritance tax relief for farms with assets valued over £1m - leaving countless family farms facing crippling death tax bills when handing land down to the next generation.
Taking this message to shoppers outside Morrisons in Cromer was former international rugby player Tom Youngs - who now runs his family's award-winning farm near Aylsham alongside his cousin George.
"The biggest thing for me is speaking to consumers," he said. "There is a lack of knowledge between the field and the supermarket. The whole thing has been lost.
