The Irish capital was a popular choice and was rumoured to be the subject of a potential new route out of Norwich, serviced by Ryanair.

Rumours arose earlier this year when a document seen by this newspaper revealed that a request had been made to Dublin Airport for a new flight slot to Norwich Airport.

Ryanair labelled the speculation as “incorrect”.
