Pfizer supporting employees with migraine through flexible work arrangements, raising awareness about condition

Pfizer Canada is encouraging employers and employees to recognize the impact of migraine on workplace culture and productivity through an annual awareness campaign.

The campaign, which coincides with Migraine Awareness Month, was first launched in 2024 in collaboration with Migraine Canada and Migraine Québec. It encourages workers to raise awareness of migraine by turning on their out-of-office notification for four hours — the minimum length of a migraine attack, which can last up to three days — and displaying a message from the campaign about the condition’s health and workplace impacts.

In addition to Pfizer employees, several other companies have taken part and provided meaningful feedback on the campaign, says Lisa Del Signore, people experience lead at the pharmaceutical company.
