Writers like me are in the business of making things even worse.

Not intentionally, of course. At least, not most of the time.

It’s just that the noise and the antics and the promises and the insults and the lies and the conspiracies and the money and the money and the money cannot be ignored, and the work of trying to simplify things becomes more and more convoluted.
