Opinion: Edmontonians need properly funded public transit The transit service in my neighbourhood got cut recently. A simple reduction of frequency by only two minutes has completely shifted my routine. I was fortunate enough to purchase my first home near a frequent transit route, basing my life around its service. Now, because of these time changes, my connections are all wrong and my commute now takes me an extra 15 minutes, because I just miss my connection to the LRT. I could drive to work in that amount of time.
