The retail chain also raised its annual revenue outlook, saying it expected the momentum to continue the rest of the year.
Last month, Andy Jassy said the average monthly number of Amazon customers receiving same-day deliveries doubled in 2025 compared to the year before.
“There's no rushing either in our building workers or the gig workers,” insists Beryl Tomay, Amazon’s head of transportation.
“We’re in the middle of some of the biggest inflections of our lifetime, we’re well positioned to lead," CEO Andy Jassy said.
“Elevated costs in fuel and logistics have increased the cost of operating across the industry,” Amazon said in an emailed statement.
Some retailers are already warning of the impact on their customers if gas prices keep rising.
One-hour delivery slots are available in hundreds of places.
”It’s difficult, if not impossible, to put food on the table, put gas in the car and pay rent when you are not getting paid," the letter said.
Target also said it believes net sales will grow every quarter this year.
