A new NBC News poll reveals a crisis of confidence for the Democratic Party, with the public now viewing it more negatively than the very institutions the party frequently attacks. Most notably, the survey found that voters hold a more positive view of Immigration and Customs Enforcement than they do of the current Democratic platform.

This shift in sentiment highlights a broader trend in the data: A significant “favorability gap” favors the Republican Party, and the public is increasingly at odds with core Democratic principles.

While mainstream legacy media often portray federal agencies like ICE as deeply unpopular, this poll exposes a disconnect. Only 30% of respondents view the Democratic Party positively, while ICE maintains a higher favorability rating at 38%.

The GOP holds a 37% positivity rating, while President Donald Trump’s rating is at 42%, only 1% behind Pope Leo XIV and much higher than anyone in the Democratic Party by about 8 points.
