Not every show—especially ones that receive award praise later—has a smooth start. For Parks & Recreation, there were a few hills the crew had to climb after Season 1 fell short. Throughout the rest of its run, though, they produced quality television that’s left a long-lasting legacy for fans and for the way sitcoms can be done.
