It doesn’t matter what type of lipstick that politicians put on their carbon tax pigs — all carbon taxes make life more expensive, hurt Canada’s economy and don’t work.

Ottawa’s carbon taxes are still causing plenty of pain.

After years of backlash from ordinary Canadians, the government was forced to cancel its consumer-facing carbon tax that smacked taxpayers in the face every time they paid their heating bill or filled up their car.

But the federal government didn’t end all carbon taxes. It still imposes two hidden carbon taxes.

One is a hidden carbon tax on Canadian businesses such as oil and gas, steel and fertilizer companies, among others. This is commonly referred to as the industrial carbon tax.  The government buried the other carbon tax in fuel regulations that took effect in 2023 and will continue to........
