Music legend Dolly Parton died after “a brief battle with cancer,” her representatives tell US media after the 80-year-old’s death was announced on Tuesday.

People magazine also reports Parton was admitted to a cancer treatment facility on Friday and had acknowledged in a recent interview with the magazine that she was “dealing with some health issues.”

Channel 13 uses the revelation to argue that Netanyahu’s attacks on Tuesday against Winter are politically, rather than ideologically, motivated.

The network says Netanyahu recognizes that Winter’s new party is uniquely situated to siphon off hard-right voters from the premier’s Likud party.
