(Book of Jeremiah 7:21-8:3 and 9:22-23)

To whose voice do we listen on life’s journey?

What guides us as we travel our days?

Simply following a route with selfish purpose

Removes all mission at each way station.

Without living the spirit of the law, meaning is void;

Arrogance becomes partner to hypocrisy.

For what is wisdom without humility?

What is strength or wealth in a mortal lifespan,

If lost in any one encounter?

Perennial questions with only One to answer

Bring the very paradox to full view.

In stark reality, a still small voice,

If, but heard, gives the road map to life’s voyage.
