History On Repeat, from The Dayton Leader

President Trump says Iran has approximately 10 days to reach a deal with the US or face an “unfortunate” outcome, as Washington intensifies pressure on Tehran over its advancing nuclear program and its regional actions.

His administration’s focus remains on curbing Iran’s nuclear enrichment, while the United States and Israel have also called on Tehran to halt development of long-range ballistic missiles, cease support for armed terrorist groups across the Middle East, and stop using force against domestic protesters.

From Jerusalem, the Nameless One frames the moment through an ancient lens, with an expectant eye toward the future.

“The Jewish month of Adar and the Muslim Hijri month of Ramadan will start,” he says. Adar is the month in which Jews celebrate Purim, commemorating the events described in the Book of Esther.

“In the air there is a feeling that war with Iran can start any minute. We don’t know when or even if it happens but that’s the feeling.”

Ramadan, observed by Muslims, marks the month in which the first verses of the Quran were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

This year, the overlap unfolds against a backdrop of military calculations.

“Famously Adar is the month of Purim, the holiday that is based on the story of the book of Esther that managed to counter evil Haman’s plan to destroy the Jewish people from India to Ethiopia,” the Nameless One says.

The Persian official Haman plots genocide against the Jews of the empire. However, Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai ultimately intervene, persuading King Xerxes to grant the Jews the right to assemble, protect and defend themselves.

The Nameless One asks, “In our times—are we still the Jews of the exile? Is Trump that foreign king? Are we able to fight to remove the threat on our own?”

Quoting Esther chapter 8, he recalls: “King Xerxes replied to Queen Esther and to Mordecai the Jew, ‘Because Haman attacked the Jews, I have given his estate to Esther, and they have impaled him on the pole he set up. Now write another decree in the king’s name on behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king’s signet ring—for no document written in the king’s name and sealed with his ring can be revoked.’

“The king’s edict granted the Jews in every city the right to assemble and protect themselves; to destroy, kill and annihilate the armed men of any nationality or province who might attack them,” he continues, noting that the day appointed for this defense was the thirteenth of Adar.

The Nameless One draws connections to contemporary Israeli leadership and national identity, as well.

“Interestingly enough the first name of our prime minister is Benjamin, which is the tribe of Esther and Mordechai,” he says, referring to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Yet again—that’s exactly where the problem is. Benjamin isn’t the tribe of the kings, but Judah is, where King David is from. Meaning—it’s not the kingdom of Israel that is fighting but the Jewish ghetto led by Benjamin.”

He describes a deeper national psychology shaped by centuries of exile.

“This is the main reason why we simply can’t overcome our enemies for such a long time,” the Nameless One reveals.

“It will take another generation to produce the type of leadership and to more decisively cut the bondage of exile from the Jewish Israeli mentality.”

Meanwhile, Trump’s ultimatum underscores the possibility of either renewed negotiations or escalation.

Israel has repeatedly warned that it will not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon and has reserved the right to act independently if it deems necessary.

After the month of Adar is the month of Nissan, when Jews observe Passover to commemorate the Exodus from Egypt, which is to say “the month of miracles.”

The Nameless One says, “As the Jewish saying goes ‘in Nissan (Israel) were redeemed and in Nissan (they) ought to be redeemed.’ So potentially, he acknowledges, a turbulent month is ahead of us.

“Let’s hope and pray that this month of Adar we will witness the fall of our enemies and the enemies of humanity, the brutal regime of the Islamic republic of Iran and their jihadist supporters all over the globe,” he says.

“May this Ramadan, the month of the first words of Allah given to the Muslims, will indeed be the victory of monotheism over the forces of Amalek, as Haman is the descendent of Amalek.”

Indeed, Ezekiel 38:23 reads, “I will reveal Myself in My greatness and in My holiness and will be recognized in the eyes of many nations, and they will know that I am the Lord.”
