A message to the new head of West Midlands Police
Response to JN article https://www.jewishnews.co.uk/police-chief-absolutely-determined-to-learn-lessons-from-maccabi-away-fans-ban/
As a reminder of what happened: “Maccabi supporters were barred from traveling to a Europa League game at Villa Park in November, following an SAG decision which cited safety concerns based on a report prepared by the West Midlands force.”
Am I the only one that read this article and feels that it lacks a real getting to grips with the issue. I get it, AI was used, people didn’t realize AI can make stuff up. But this just dances around the elephant in the room. The elephant was, a huge number of people in the West Midlands, who attempted to make Villa Park a no Zionist zone, using the council and the local police to block an Israeli team from coming to the UK.
The only thing I want to hear from the new Police Chief Scott Green is when is he going to be inviting Maccabi back to Villa Park, even if for a friendly match, to prove that Israeli’s and Jews, have every right to enjoy a game of football in the United Kingdom.
Banning co-pilot, making apologies or allowing an independent examination is not going to change anything in this case.
Scott – if you are reading this. I dare you, invite Maccabi, see the responses on the ground from the local community and tackle that! That is THE work that needs to be done. Not just in the West Midlands, but in Luton, Bradford, East London and all the other places in the UK that house racist Zionphobic people, that would target Jews or Israelis in the sickest most racist manner. Britain should have no space for this.
