For 35 years, Somaliland has consistently safeguarded one of the most strategically sensitive maritime corridors in the world. Somaliland’s 850‑kilometre coastline, positioned along the western flank of the Bab al‑Mandeb Strait, has remained free of piracy, free of terrorist infiltration, and free of maritime disruption.
