“25 Gratitudes for America — 25 Years After 9/11.”
Each gratitude remembers that terrible day not only through tragedy, but through appreciation for the country, freedoms, courage, and goodness that endured. 1. Thank you, America, for freedom — the precious freedom to live, believe, worship, speak, and dream. 2. Thank you for religious liberty — where houses of worship can stand openly and proudly. 3. Thank you for our first responders — the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and rescuers who run toward danger when everyone else is running away. 4. Thank you for our Armed Forces — Americans who leave their families behind to protect families they may never meet. 5. Thank you for courage — because on September 11, 2001, ordinary Americans showed us what extraordinary bravery looks like. 6. Thank you for September 12 — when Americans woke up grieving, but also more united, compassionate, and determined to help one another. 7.
