Remember when it was unthinkable that anyone could run a marathon in under two hours? Well, here comes Sabastian Sawe to prove everyone wrong in a rather sensational London Marathon.

But that record-breaking time wasn’t the only astonishing thing about the joyous celebration of running… almost 60,000 people took to the streets as the city embraced them all in a carnival atmosphere.

If you’ve never been in London during the marathon, then you’ve never lived. It’s vibrant, colourful, warm and friendly – as I discovered a couple of years back when I was support crew for Mrs B and a chum.

By support crew I mean I tried to hand them a KitKat on London Bridge, then got the first round in after they........
