Lindsay Clancy trial has failed to reach any unanimous decision because of a deadlocked jury.

Against this backdrop, Judge William Sullivan declared mistrial. The trial is about a 36-year-old former nurse who is accused of killing her three children.

Clancy's legal team argued that she committed this harrowing crime under the influence of a postpartum psychotic episode. However, prosecutors claimed that she is not legally insane and what she did was an act of deliberation. She committed murders through calculated planning and making intentional choices by sending her husband out of the house.
