The European Commission is set to strengthen ties with Greenland on the grounds of a major funding drive in the midst of Trump’s annexation drive.

As reported by Reuters, the president Ursula von der Leyen is expected to unveil a boost in EU investments in Greenland and closer political ties with the Danish Arctic territory.

Ursula von der Leyen is currently on a two-day visit to Greenland “as a show of support for the governments of Denmark and Greenland.”

The investment will be poured into various sectors including critical minerals, satellite communications and renewable energy in Greenland.
