A British task force reacted to Russian incursions near the island nation’s undersea cables this week—though British officials noted the operation had been ongoing for months.

Russian submarines, warships, and surveillance boats have been engaged in covert undersea operations near the United Kingdom’s undersea critical infrastructure, according to London.
