The Army is eliminating about 300 pilot positions from its aviation branch.

The United States Navy is facing a shortage of skilled aviators. High-tempo extended deployments, intense career burnout, and potentially lucrative career alternatives with commercial airlines are taking a toll. Last month, the US Navy took a cue from the US Air Force and introduced new incentives to keep its reserve aviators in the cockpit for a few years longer.
