Rules Based International (Dis)order
A bird’s-eye view of the US’ geopolitical and geostrategic policies across the world reveals how callously it and its allies have ravaged the so-called “rules-based international order”; ironically, one created and imposed by themselves. Now, their national interests seem to irreverently trump all the hallowed paradigms that once defined it. They appear to imperiously disregard the UN and other international organisations that object to this mockery of international law and good order. In an almost manic exposition of ruthless force, a literal law of the jungle is being enforced globally (Gaza, Palestine, Ukraine, Venezuela, Greenland, the western hemisphere at large, etc.) with gay abandon and scant remorse. Although no country has physically opposed this vile exhibition of raw, brute force, none has willingly accepted this wanton trampling of international law and a genuine rules-based international order either.

President Trump appears to disregard any rules-based international order quite disdainfully unless it further secures and promotes the US’ national interests. He feels unfettered in his pursuit to Make America Great Again (MAGA). His geopolitical compulsions and the policies stemming from them are quite unfathomable; some are even self-contradictory.
