The name “Abraham Accords” emphasises the shared origin and heritage of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - all emanating from Prophet Ibrahim and this part of the world. This unique ancestry and the subsequent interrelationships form the nucleus of the critical geopolitical complexities that have beset the Middle East-Greater Middle East Region (ME-GMER) Complex for decades. These intricacies and convolutions relate directly to Israel, the US-led West, and the Muslim-Arab world and their divergent, often clashing interests. The geopolitical environment has, in effect, degenerated into an explosive concoction of power politics at the sub-regional, regional, and global levels. This is further vitiated by assumed divine rights and commandments, religions and their respective icons, expansionist designs, hegemonic ambitions, balance of power imperatives, nuclear weapons, and, above all, conflicting geopolitical compulsions - all rolled into one. President Trump is now making a rather desperate attempt to somehow “mandatorily request” most major states in the ME-GMER Complex to sign the Abraham Accords - as a prerequisite for him to consummate a peace deal with Iran!

The Abraham Accords appear to be a unilateral system that the Trump Administration wants to impose upon the Muslim-Arab world for the ultimate benefit of Israel.
