At the geopolitical level, the US is a power on the wane. The US-Israel Combine’s power and influence in the region have been challenged by Iran, found wanting and are thus severely attenuated. As such, it is no longer the overwhelming, omnipotent, omnipresent regional power any more. The failed Iran war might have just crystallised and sped up the US’s expected egress from the region. A tangible power vacuum and the consequent strategic spaces are now emerging therein. The strategic environment for the regional states to break away from the US-led West and seek more reliable, trustworthy and forthcoming arrangements/benefactors is fast emerging. New, potent strategic alignments, partnerships and alliances are evolving; critically, independent of the US-led West and regardless of the Israel factor.

Regional and extra-regional powers/players are now poised to make their respective ingresses to not only transform the ME-GMER Complex but also define the contours of a new, fairer and more just world order!

At the regional level, the US-led West and Israel have largely exploited an unfathomable lack of unity amongst the regional states and destroyed them piecemeal. This is unsustainable and must change. “Die Sekunde der Wahrheit — the moment of truth” has arrived. The time has come when these states must now move towards unity and collective security. To that end, they must put up a united front, pool resources and amass a potent, multidimensional deterrent that can forestall all forms of aggression.........
